Thomas Henkey

Tom is responsible for implementing detailed risk and vulnerability assessments, as well as creating site-specific emergency operations plans. He composes emergency quick-reference guides and specialized training materials to provide clients with security references and assure that they are prepared for handling an emergency situation. Prior to joining Titan, Tom was a Senior Emergency Management Coordinator for the City of Chicago, where he was responsible for disaster planning, physical-security, infrastructure, transportation, and antiterrorism analysis. He also served as the Director of Protection Services for the Art Institute of Chicago, ensuring the safety of over 1.5 million annual visitors and a multi-billion dollar art collection.

Tom is a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), a Certified Institutional Protection Manager (CIPM II), and holds undergraduate degrees from St. Louis University and a Master’s Degree in Emergency and Disaster Management from American Military University. He is the author of Urban Emergency Management, a textbook/handbook published by Elsevier in 2017. Tom’s emergency management skills have been influential in keeping Titan clients and employees prepared for emergency situations.
