Titan Security is actively monitoring the following protests and special events in or near the Chicago Loop, in partnership with local, state, and federal public-safety organizations.
Anticipated Demonstrations and Events
- Tuesday, September 27 at 11:00am: 806 N Michigan (Water Tower) to 436 N Clark (Sunnyside Cannabis), Group will gather/march for their cause “A Mobilization for Change, Opportunity & the Creation of a Black Political Power Base”
- Wednesday, September 28 at 7:30am: 2557 N Milwaukee to 400 N Des Plaines (tentative), Group will gather/ride for their cause “Chicago Bike Grid Now Milwaukee Ave” *
- Wednesday, September 28 at 5:00pm: 230 S Dearborn (Federal Plaza), Group will gather for their cause “International Safe Abortion Day – Legal Abortion On Demand and Without Apology Everywhere” **
- Wednesday, September 28 at 65 W Jackson (Union League), Group will gather for their cause “Protest Fake Clinics in Chicago” **
- Friday, September 30 at 1200pm: 208 S LaSalle (Heartland Alliance) – 208 S. LaSalle Street, Group will gather for their cause “Campaign Against the Struggle of Ongoing Contract Negotiations”
- Friday, September at 3:00pm: 400 S Michigan Avenue to N Franklin/W Wacker Drive. Group will gather for their cause “Supporting Iranian Protest against Police Brutality” ***
- Friday, September 30 at 5:30pm: 50 W Washington (Daley Plaza), Group will gather for their cause “Chicago Critical Mass September”
- Saturday, October 1 at 2:00pm: 50 W Washington (Daley Plaza) to 201 E Randolph (Millennium Park), Group will gather/march for their cause “10.01 Freedom Now Rally”
- Saturday, October 1 at 3:00pm: 400 S Michigan Avenue to N Franklin/W Wacker Drive. Group will gather for their cause “Supporting Iranian Protest against Police Brutality” ***
- Wednesday, October 5 at 7:30am: Various routes including N Milwaukee, N Halsted, S Halsted to 131 N Clinton (Ogilvie Station), Group will gather/ride for their cause “Chicago Bike Bus Halsted/Milwaukee” *
Notes/Analysis
* = Group of bicyclists that intentionally rides slowly in traffic lanes during rush hour; may cause local traffic disruptions or delays
** = Two relatively small abortion-related protests; groups may intermingle or march between locations
*** = Organizers have listed both a Friday and a Saturday date for event
Safety Tips Near/During Protests
- If you see something suspicious, report it
- Carry water and stay hydrated
- Choose a landmark to meet at in case you are separated from your group
- Utilize the buddy system
- Remain alert and be observant of surroundings
- Leave any valuables at home
- Do not jump any barricades
- Secure handbags and wallets
- Stay calm and pleasant
- Follow your own instincts
- Leave yourself room to move quickly
