Chicago Demonstrations and Events: January 16 to January 31, 2024

In coordination with our cross-sector public safety partners, Titan Security is monitoring the following anticipated protest and special event activities in or near the Chicago Loop and surrounding area from January 16-31, 2024.

Protests and Events

  • Thursday, January 18 at 8:00am: United Center, 1901 W Madison St., Group will gather for their cause “Demand No Chicago DNC 2024: Protest the DNC Media Walkthrough”
  • Thursday, January 18 at 12:00pm: UIC Quad – 803 S. Morgan St., Group will gather for their cause “US Hands Off Yemen! End the Genocide in Gaza! End US Aid to Israel!”
  • Sunday, January 21 at 1:00pm: 400 N. Michigan Ave, Group will gather for their cause “Russia Without Putin”
  • Monday., January 22 at 5:00pm: Various Aldermanic Offices, Group(s) may gather for their cause “Chicago Ceasefire Resolution: Pressure These Alderpeople!”
  • Wednesday, January 24 at 9:00am: 121 N LaSalle (City Hall), Group will gather for their cause “Pack City Council For Chicago Cease-Fire Resolution Vote”
  • Friday, January 26 at 1:00pm: 803 S Morgan (Univ Illinois Chicago), Group will gather for their cause “Rally to Demand UIC Fire Racist Cops”
  • Saturday, January 27 at 12:30pm: 50 W Washington (Daley Plaza), Group will gather for their cause “Green Schools and Climate-resilient Communities”*
  • Saturday, January 27 at 1:00pm: 50 W Washington (Daley Plaza), Group will gather/march for their cause “March to Support the Chicago Ceasefire Resolution”*
  • Tuesday, January 30 at 8:00am: 121 N LaSalle (City Hall), Group will gather for their cause “Pack City Hall to Show Support for a Ceasefire!”
  • Wednesday, January 31 at 8:00am: 121 N LaSalle (City Hall) to 50 W Washington (Daley Plaza), Group will gather/march for their cause “Pack City Hall to Say Yes to Ceasefire in Gaza!”
  • Ongoing: short-notice protests related to the conflict in Gaza are anticipated to continue, including localized traffic and transit disruptions

Event/Protest Best Practices

  • If you see something suspicious, report it
  • Carry water and stay hydrated
  • Choose a landmark to meet at in case you are separated from your group
  • Utilize the buddy system
  • Remain alert and be observant of surroundings
  • Leave any valuables at home
  • Do not jump any barricades
  • Secure handbags and wallets
  • Stay calm and pleasant
  • Follow your own instincts
  • Leave yourself room to move quickly
