Chicago Protests and Events: March 1 to March 15, 2024

Coordinating with our cross-sector public safety partners, Titan Security is monitoring the following anticipated demonstration and special event activity in of near the Chicago Loop.

Demonstrations and Special Events

  • Saturday, March 2 at 12:00pm: 901 N Clark (Washington Sq Park), Group may gather for their cause “Hands off Rafah, Ceasefire Now, Stop the Genocide” *
  • Saturday, March 2 at 1:00pm: 230 S Dearborn (Federal Plaza), Group will gather/march for their cause “Stop the Genocide!” *
  • Saturday, March 2 at 6:00pm: 150 W Roosevelt (Roosevelt Collection), Group may gather for their event “Teen Trend Meetup” **
  • Monday, March 4 at 12:00pm: 180 N Michigan (Egyptian Consulate) and 500 W Madison (Israeli Consulate), Group will gather for their cause “End the Genocide: Open the Borders for Aid!” ***
  • Monday, March 4 at 10:00am: 42 W Madison (CPS Headquarters), Group will gather for their cause “Oppose Chicago Public Schools for Discriminating Against Disabled Students”
  • Monday March 4 at 4:00pm: 330 N Wabash (AMA Headquarters), Group will gather for their cause “Hold the AMA Accountable for their Hypocrisy & Silence During Genocide”
  • Thursday, March 7 at 8:00am: 230 S Dearborn (Federal Plaza), Group will gather for their cause “The State of the Genocide: 24-Hour Vigil for Gaza”
  • Friday, March 8 at 5:30pm: 1212 N LaSalle (Women’s Care Center), Group will gather for their cause “Stop Fake Clinics: International Women’s Day in Chicago”
  • Friday, March 8 at 6:00pm: 329 N Dearborn (House of Blues), Group will gather for their cause “Racist Zionist Matisyahu is Not Welcome in Chicago”
  • Saturday, March 9 at 3:00pm: Loop location TBD, Group will gather for their cause “End Shelter Evections; Demand Affordable Housing”
  • Sunday, March 10 at 11:00am: 806 N Michigan (Water Tower Place) to 100 W Erie (Chinese Consulate), Group will gather/march for their cause “Tibetan Uprising Day”
  • Sunday, March 10 at 1:00pm: 230 S Dearborn (Federal Plaza), Group will gather/march for their cause “Women of the World Unite! March in Honor of International Women’s Day”
  • Monday, March 11 at 11:00am: 806 N Michigan (Water Tower Place) to 100 W Erie (Chinese Consulate), Group will gather/march for their cause “Tibetan Uprising Day”
  • Wednesday, March 13 at 12:00pm: 25 E Pearson (Loyola Law), Group will gather for their cause “LUC Law Students: Refuse to Be Complicit”
  • Wednesday, March 13 at 1:00pm: 50 W Washington (Daley Plaza), Group will gather for their event “Reimagine Chicago”
  • Thursday, March 14 at 1:00pm: 444 W Lake, Group will gather for their cause “Rally to Save South Tacoma: Bridge Industrial”
  • Friday, March 15 at 4:00pm: 305 E Huron (Northwestern Hospital); Group will gather for their cause “Keep Masks in Healthcare at Northwestern”
  • Ongoing: short-notice protests related to the conflict in Gaza are anticipated to continue, including localized traffic and transit disruptions

* = Unclear if these two pro-Palestinian protests are interrelated; groups may merge or move to a single location

** = Trend gatherings are groups of teens organized via social media; attendance is highly weather dependent

Event/Protest Best Practices

  • If you see something suspicious, report it
  • Carry water and stay hydrated
  • Choose a landmark to meet at in case you are separated from your group
  • Utilize the buddy system
  • Remain alert and be observant of surroundings
  • Leave any valuables at home
  • Do not jump any barricades
  • Secure handbags and wallets
  • Stay calm and pleasant
  • Follow your own instincts
  • Leave yourself room to move quickly
