Chicago Special Events and Protests: March 15 to March 31, 2024

Coordinating with our valued cross-sector public safety partners, Titan Security is monitoring the following anticipated events and protests in or near the Chicago Loop.

Protests/Events

  • Friday, March 15 at 4:00pm: 305 E Huron (Northwestern Hospital); Group will gather for their cause “Keep Masks in Healthcare at Northwestern”
  • Saturday, March 16 at 9:00am: Main Branch, Chicago River; Group will gather for their event “Dyeing of the Chicago River” *
  • Saturday, March 16 at 12:00pm: 500 W Madison (Israeli Consulate); Group will gather for their cause “End the Genocide! End All US Aid to Israel”
  • Saturday, March 16 at 12:15pm: 700 S Columbus to 100 S Columbus; Group will gather/march for their event “St. Patrick’s Day Parade” *
  • Sunday, March 17 at 12:00pm: 400 N Michigan (Wrigley Building); Group will gather for their cause “Anti-Putin Rally”
  • Monday, March 18 at 8:00am: 400 W Superior (Administrative Court Bldg); Group will gather for their cause “Join Us for Our Permit Appeal Hearing”
  • Friday, March 22 at 5:00pm: 121 N LaSalle (City Hall); Group will gather for their cause “Cancel the Convention”
  • Friday, March 22 and March 29 at 6:00pm: 600 E Grand (Navy Pier); Group may gather for their event “Spring Break Takeover at Navy Pier” **
  • Saturday, March 23 at 1:00pm: E Ida B Wells/S Michigan; Group will gather/march for their cause “Victory: Senator Tammy Duckworth Postponed her Birthday Celebration”
  • Saturday, March 23 at 2:00pm: 230 S Dearborn (Federal Plaza); Group will gather for their cause “Work Permits for All”
  • Sunday, March 24 at 7:00am: Grant Park; Group will gather for their event “Shamrock Shuffle Walk / Run”
  • Sunday, March 24 at 11:30am: 160 E Pearson (Ritz Carlton); Group will gather for their cause “Heartland Alliance Gathering/Protest”
  • Tuesday, March 26 at 12:00pm: 230 S Dearborn (Federal Plaza); Group will gather for their cause “Hands Off Abortion Pills: The Supreme Court is Attacking Us – Again”
  • Wednesday, March 27 at 12:00pm: 50 W Washington (Daley Plaza); Group will gather for their cause “Silent Vigil to Honor the 3000 Lives Lost at Chicago Animal Care & Control”
  • Wednesday, March 27 at 3:00pm: 300 W Adams; Group will gather/picket for their cause “SEIU Vigil/Protest: Anti-Union Building Management”
  • Friday, March 29 at 9:00am: 50 W Washington (Daley Plaza); Group will gather/march for their cause “Way of the Cross Procession”
  • Friday, March 29 at 12:00pm: 230 S Dearborn (Federal Plaza); Group will gather for their cause “Memorial Vigil for Gaza: Send Aid Not Bombs”
  • Friday, March 29 at 3:30pm: 540 W Madison (Caterpillar); Group will gather for their cause “Sanction Caterpillar for Colonizing Palestinian Land”
  • Friday, March 29 at 8:45pm: 301 S Columbus (Buckingham Foundation); Group will gather for their cause “Taraweeh for Gaza”
  • Saturday, March 30 at 9:00am: 1200 N LaSalle (Planned Parenthood); Group will gather for their cause “Rally for Justice”
  • Saturday, March 30 at 1:00pm: Loop Location TBD; Group will gather/march for their cause “March on Land Day”
  • Sunday, March 31 at 7:00am: 700 W Adams (Old St. Pat’s church); Group will gather for their event “Easter Mass/Easter Gathering” (localized street closures)
  • Ongoing: short-notice protests related to the conflict in Gaza are anticipated to continue, including localized traffic and transit disruptions

** = One of several possible Teen Trend meetup events during CPD Spring Break; attendance driven by social media and highly weather-dependent

Event/Protest Best Practices

  • If you see something suspicious, report it
  • Carry water and stay hydrated
  • Choose a landmark to meet at in case you are separated from your group
  • Utilize the buddy system
  • Remain alert and be observant of surroundings
  • Leave any valuables at home
  • Do not jump any barricades
  • Secure handbags and wallets
  • Stay calm and pleasant
  • Follow your own instincts
  • Leave yourself room to move quickly
