Chicago Demonstration and Special Event Activity: September 15 to September 30, 2024

In coordination with our cross-sector public safety partners, Titan Security continues to monitor the following special event and protest activity in or near the Chicago Loop.

Anticipated Demonstrations and Events

  • Sunday, September 15 at 5:00pm: 71 W Van Buren, Group will gather for their cause “Running Down the Walls: Bike & Run in Solidarity with Political Prisoners”
  • Monday, September 16 at 2:00pm: 121 N LaSalle (City Hall), Group may gather for their cause “Referendum for Community Power Over Policing”
  • Tuesday, September 17 at 4:00pm: 100 N Riverside (Boeing Building), “Seize Boeing! Speak Out and Rally”
  • Wednesday, September 18 at 9:00am: 160 N LaSalle, Group may gather for their cause “Community Power Over Policing” *
  • Wednesday, September 18 at 7:00pm: 121 N LaSalle (City Hall), Group may gather for their cause “Call for the Passage of the Fair Share Ordinance”
  • Thursday, September 19 at 4:30pm: 219 S Dearborn (Federal Plaza), Group will gather/march for their cause “No Votes for Genocide! End All U.S. Aid to Israel!”
  • Friday, September 20, Time TBD: 401 N Michigan (Apple Store), Group may gather for their cause “Flood Apples Stores”
  • Sunday, September 29 at 12:00pm: 1410 Special Olympics (Solider Field), Group will gather for their event “Chicago Bears NFL Game”
  • Monday, September 30 at 11:30am: 69 W Washington (Cook County), Group may gather for their cause “Demand that the State’s Attorney Free More Wrongfully Convicted Men and Women”
  • Ongoing: short-notice protests related to the conflict in Gaza are anticipated to continue, including localized traffic and transit disruptions

Event/Protest Best Practices

  • If you see something suspicious, report it
  • Carry water and stay hydrated
  • Choose a landmark to meet at in case you are separated from your group
  • Utilize the buddy system
  • Remain alert and be observant of surroundings
  • Leave any valuables at home
  • Do not jump any barricades
  • Secure handbags and wallets
  • Stay calm and pleasant
  • Follow your own instincts
  • Leave yourself room to move quickly
