Chicago Event and Demonstration Activity: December 1 to December 15, 2024

In coordination with our cross-sector public safety partners, Titan Security is monitoring the following special events and protests in or near the Chicago Loop. Listings are updated on a regular basis, and are presented in chronological two-week periods.

Anticipated Demonstrations and Events

  • Sunday, December 1 at TBD: 400 N Michigan (Apple Store), Group may gather for their cause “It’s Time to Stop the Shop”
  • Monday, December 2 at 9:00am: 121 N LaSalle (City Hall), Group may gather for their cause “Oppose Increases to the Bloated CPD Budget”
  • Monday, December 2 at 11:30am: 171 W Randolph (Hotel Allegro), Group may gather for their cause “Rally Against Diesel Truck Pollution in Little Village”
  • Monday, December 2 at 11:30am: 69 W Washington (Cook County), Group may gather for their cause “Get to Work, Burke, We Must Fight to Free Them All”
  • Friday, December 6 at 4:30pm: 300 N LaSalle (Chicago Cut Steakhouse), Group will gather for their cause “Emergency Action: Tammy Duckworth’s Holiday Reception”
  • Friday, December 6, Evening: Loop Location TBD, Group may gather/drive for car club caravan *
  • Monday, December 16 at 4:00pm: 180 N Stetson (Canadian Consulate), Group may gather for their cause “Delist Samidoun Rally”
  • Ongoing: Short-notice protests responding to the November 5 national election may be anticipated, including localized traffic and transit disruptions
  • Ongoing: Short-notice protests related to the conflict in Gaza are anticipated to continue, including localized traffic and transit disruptions

* = Multiple car clubs indicating possible “meet ups” or “street takeovers” on evening of 12/06; highly weather dependent events may cause localized traffic disruptions

Event/Protest Best Practices

  • If you see something suspicious, report it
  • Carry water and stay hydrated
  • Choose a landmark to meet at in case you are separated from your group
  • Utilize the buddy system
  • Remain alert and be observant of surroundings
  • Leave any valuables at home
  • Do not jump any barricades
  • Secure handbags and wallets
  • Stay calm and pleasant
  • Follow your own instincts
  • Leave yourself room to move quickly
