Chicago Special Event and Protest Activity: April 1 to April 15, 2025

In collaboration with our cross-sector public safety partners, Titan Security is monitoring the following special events and demonstrations in or near the Chicago Loop. Listings are updated on a regular basis, and are presented in chronological two-week periods.

Anticipated Demonstrations and Events

  • Saturday, April 5 at 12:00pm:50 W Washington (Daley Plaza), Group will gather/march for their cause “”Hands off! Mass Mobilization: All Out Against Trump and Musk” *
  • Saturday, April 5 at 1:00pm: E Ida B Wells / S Michigan, Group may gather/march for their cause “Ceasefire Now: Stop the Genocide” **
  • Sunday, April 6 at 11:00am: 100 S Halsted, Group will gather for their event “Greektown Heritage Parade”
  • Friday, April 11 at 4:00pm: 121 N LaSalle (City Hall) Group will gather for their cause “Build the Resistance – Fight for Climate Justice Now”
  • Friday, April 11 at 5:00pm: 201 E Randolph (Millennium Park), Group may gather for their event “Millennium Park Takeover” ^
  • Saturday, April 12 at 2:00pm: E Ida B Wells / S Michigan, Group will gather/march for their cause “End the Genocide!”
  • Tuesday, April 15 at 4:30pm: 600 Block of W Harrison, Group may gather/march for their cause “Tax Day March and Rally”
  • Ongoing: Short-notice protests related to federal administration are anticipated to continue, including localized traffic and transit disruptions
  • Ongoing: Weekly protests midday on Saturdays are anticipated to continue at Tesla dealerships near the Loop, including 717 S Des Plaines and 901 N Rush, with localized traffic and transit disruptions

Notes/Analysis

* = Part of larger nationwide “Day of Protest,” will likely march towards Trump Tower at 401 N Wabash

** = There is a major pro-Palestinian march in Washington D.C. on April 5; Local activists may or may not march in Chicago as well

^ = Highly-localized gatherings of teens organized on social media, referred to as “trends” or “takeovers,” with highly weather-dependent attendance and possible traffic and transit interruptions

Event/Protest Best Practices

  • If you see something suspicious, report it
  • Carry water and stay hydrated
  • Choose a landmark to meet at in case you are separated from your group
  • Utilize the buddy system
  • Remain alert and be observant of surroundings
  • Leave any valuables at home
  • Do not jump any barricades
  • Secure handbags and wallets
  • Stay calm and pleasant
  • Follow your own instincts
  • Leave yourself room to move quickly
