Chicago Special Events and Protests: October 15 to October 31, 2024

In coordination with our cross-sector public safety partners, Titan Security is monitoring the following special events and protests in or near the Chicago Loop. Listings are updated on a regular basis, and are presented in chronological two-week periods.

Anticipated Demonstrations and Events

  • Tuesday, October 15 at 9:30am: 33 N Dearborn, 200 N Columbus, Other Loop Locations, Group will gather for their cause “No Racist Trump in Chicago/Protest Trump’s Visit to Chicago” *
  • Thursday, October 17 at 12:30pm: 233 S Wacker (Willis Tower), Group will gather/march for their cause “United Flight Attendant Informational Picket”
  • Saturday, October 19 at 1:00pm: 806 N Michigan (Water Tower), Group will gather for their cause “Gaza is on Fire”
  • Saturday, October 19 at 6:00pm: 300 N State to 600 S State, Group will gather/march for their event “Arts in the Dark Parade”
  • Sunday, October 20 at 1:00pm: 1300 S Linn White (Adler Planetarium), Group will gather drive for their cause “Downtown Chicago Trump Parade” **
  • Wednesday, October 23 at 2:00pm: 180 N Stetson (Prudential Plaza), Group will gather for their cause “Shut Down the Line 5 Oil Pipeline”
  • Thursday, October 24 at 10:00: 555 W Monroe (State of Illinois Building), Group will gather for their cause “Lights on Afterschool – Save Afterschool Programs & Illuminate Futures”
  • Thursday, October 24 at 11:30am: 69 W Washington (Cook County), Group may gather for their cause ““To Address Property Injustices in Chicago and Cook County”
  • Thursday, October 24 at 12:00pm: 37 S Wabash (School of the Art Institute of Chicago), Group will gather for their cause “Protest of SAIC’S Complicity in the Genocide of Palestine”
  • Wednesday, October 30 at 5:30pm: 230 S Dearborn (Federal Plaza), Group will gather for their cause “The world stands with Cuba & [the Middle East]!”
  • Ongoing: Short-notice protests related to the conflict in Gaza are anticipated to continue, including localized traffic and transit disruptions

Notes/Analysis

* = Former President Trump will address the Economic Club of Chicago; Expect a large number of protesters from a range of groups

** = Suburban car caravan meeting at Adler and driving past multiple tourist locations in Loop; Likely ending at 401 N Wabash

Event/Protest Best Practices

  • If you see something suspicious, report it
  • Carry water and stay hydrated
  • Choose a landmark to meet at in case you are separated from your group
  • Utilize the buddy system
  • Remain alert and be observant of surroundings
  • Leave any valuables at home
  • Do not jump any barricades
  • Secure handbags and wallets
  • Stay calm and pleasant
  • Follow your own instincts
  • Leave yourself room to move quickly
